What is Diksha app? How to study on Diksha? : E-learning Platform Video ...

portal.

Actually diksha is a Sanskrit word meaning preparation
for a religious ceremony", it is giving of a mantra by the guru (in
Guru–shishya tradition). This is actually tribute to our
teachers.

What is Diksha app?


 

It’s a teacher training platform.This
website is designed, developed and maintained by the Ministry of Human
Resources Development (MHRD), Government of India.
When was Diksha launched?
5th September, 2017.

We know that In India, 5th September is celebrated as Teachers' Day as a mark
of tribute to the contribution made by teachers to the society. 5th September
is the birth anniversary of a great teacher Dr SarvepalliRadhakrishnan, who was
a staunch believer of education and was a well-known diplomat, scholar, the
President of India and above all, a teacher.



What will it do?
Enable, accelerate and amplify
solutions in the realm of teacher education.
The aim of the portal was to
provide a digital platform for the teachers to make their lifestyle digital.
The platform helps teachers to learn and train themselves. It will also record
their accomplishments in educational institutes.

Functionality to create State-level
DIKSHA user profiles, any institute can also register. There will be record of
teacher from his being student-teacher to his full career details.  Any organized, recognized education or
learning body can add their members as registered users of the platform. For
example; an organization, state, NGO, certification body or study centre can
add their staff and users as DIKSHA users

Curriculum linked resources for
teachers and students in an interactive and engaging format.
Students can download all the
textbooks from standard 1 to 12. Recently MHRD issued a notification on 18
November 2019 and asked all the state boards to upload all the textbooks on
DIKSHA. NCERT has already uploaded the textbooks all the medium.

QR Code and DIksha
You can use the 6-digit code
under the QR code under the QR code for DIKSHA content or
the 8-digit code for NCERT syllabus instead of scanning the QR code
every time you search for the content.
You can directly download
textbooks and e-material through QR code given it textbook. MHRD has directed
all the state boards to include DIKSha QR codes in their textbooks. Government
as also directed for audio version of all the textbooks. There will be teacher
handbooks also.
Teachers also can download lesson
plans, videos learning outcomes etc.

There is
mobile application as well and a webportal.
