JioMeet launched officially. JIOMEET better than ZOOM...What  are features? How to create account?
Reliance has finally unveiled its video conferencing platform JioMeet to take on likes of Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. The JioMeet apps are available on Google Play Store and App Store for download. Although there are enough video conferencing tools in the market already, Jio eyes to be the first choice for Indians. Earlier, the beta version of the app was rolled out for developers but after rigorous testing the stable version of the JioMeet app has been rolled for all Android and iOS users.

High features include;

  1. It delivers amazing features, includes screen sharing, meeting-scheduling features, and many more.
  2. It gives the options of host control and allows record logs of audio and video calls.
  3. Featured at Google Play Store, JioMeet proposes comfortable to sign up either with mobile number or e-mail ID.
  4. It enables the making of instant meetings and starts calls/chats at a single click.
  5. The video quality can be scheduled earlier where meeting details are bestowed with invitees.
  6. As the meetings are password-protected, the host can facilitate “Waiting Room” to make sure no single participants can join the meeting without approval.
  7. It offers “Safe Driving Mode” while driving and endures login to multi-device up to five devices and consistent swapping of devices from one to another while on a call.
  8. The app also provides nationwide and worldwide seminars/workshops and entertaining cultural and social events.

Difference Between JioMeet and Zoom

Basically, JioMeet comes with two advanced features over Zoom;

  • First, it only allows associates from the organization of the host. If allowed, users from the organization of the host can follow the meeting only and exclude intruders from other IDs possibly.
  • Second, it never allows guest users, if allowed, each user needs to sign up in order to join the meeting. So, it restrains the anon users from connecting the meeting, or call.

Other than the above-stated difference, both JioMeet and Zoom embrace some difference that can be noticed below;

  1. JioMeet provides calls that can last as more as 24 hours, whereas Zoom forces a 40 minutes time limit.
  2. All the meetings at JioMeet are encrypted and guarded by a strong password which is on a huge scale than Zoom meetings.
  3. While Zoom takes charge of $15 per month for meetings more than 40 minutes($180 on annual base), in opposite to that JioMeet provides the same features and functionality free of cost that saves Rs. 13,500 per year for an owner.
  4. At Zoom, users can’t extend an associate's video call, but at JioMeet meetings, users can extend any associate's video or shared screen video via “a double-tap”
  5. Dissimilar to Zoom, JioMeet users may switch the meeting from one device to another device without dropping out the calls.
  6. Zoom supports sign up by an e-mail ID only, while JioMeet enables sign up either with e-mail ID or mobile number
  7. During the call, JioMeet reflects nine active associates on a single screen whereas Zoom exposes four active members on a personal screen at a time.
